A slightly more difficult cache by the Shropshire Union canal
This cache continues my cause of redressing the balance of caches. The Trent and Mersey canal is still better represented than the Shropshire Union. I love to walk the tow paths of both.
As most cachers have chosen to drive to the GEOde cache I have positioned this cache to make you walk! (boaters excepted).
So again, this cache is designed for WALKERS and boaters. Don't worry it is only a short walk along a well maintained tow path.
The container is a very small Lock & Lock box.
Initial contents: Log book, pencil and sharpener.
There is ample free parking in the town less than a mile away and ample mooring for narrowboats within easy walking distance of the cache.
Note. This area contains a working lock. If you are lucky you will see it in action. As with any cache placed near water, take extra care with your little geocachers. Having said that, you will not have to cross the canal nor leave the tow path to find this cache.
This area is popular with walkers, joggers, anglers and people on boating holidays. So stealth may be required (it took me two visits to place it).
