Crofton Holidays: EASTER Traditional Cache
Tiderider: I've decided to archive this and other caches due to the anti-cacher in the area. He's been active for about a year now and I can't risk having more private property (Your beloved coins and bugs) stolen.

This is the first of several holiday themed caches. This cache is
based around the kids version of the Easter holiday. The terrain is
a steep hill area with some over-growth in the spring and summer
months. Be careful of poisonous plants and thorns.
FTF Congrats to Piglet, Grandpa and Grandma
Hopefully this cache will bring back memories of old. Waking up in
the morning to find Easter Eggs laying about, some hidden and
others in plain sight. A basket full of candies, little toys and of
course those hollow, chocolate Easter bunnies sitting on the table.
Your looking for a 32oz, clear Ziploc container with a green lid
and colorful electrical tape.
It'll be the only thing that, other than the shape, will look like
one of those Easter Eggs we all hunted for when we were all a
little younger in body. (But not necessarily in mind!)
Easter Facts and Research on the Side (*Not
required to log the cache as a find)...
Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the
Spring Equinox (which is March 20). This dating of Easter is based
on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify passover,
which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar..
Based on the above, Easter can actually be one day earlier (March
22) but that is pretty rare.
Here's the interesting info. This year (2008) is the earliest
Easter any of us will ever see for the rest of our lives! And only
the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95
years old or above!). And none of us have ever, or will ever, see
it a day earlier! Here is the riddle:
1) When is the next time Easter will be this early (March 23)? The
last time it was this early was 1913. So if you're 95 or older, you
are the only ones that were around for that!.
2) When is the next time it will be a day earlier (March 22) The
last time it was on March 22 was 1818. So, no one alive today has
or will ever see it any earlier than this year! Please only
email me the answers, don't post them in the logs! Keep the fun for
others, or email me for the interesting answers.
The cache's initial contents include a log, pencil, pencil
sharpener, MD Geocaching Brochure, a Geocaching Info Sheet, an
Easter Egg TB and a FTF pack. Good Luck!
