Geocache Description:

A five minute hike from the paved road on a popular walking trail.

Cache is hidden by the side of a little creek a short walk from Osborne Bay Road. Nice, easy, level hike on a logging road. GPS reception is poor, you may want to check the hint. There is plenty of parking by the "yellow gate". The gate is usually closed, even if it's open I would not recommend driving in as the cache is but a short walk from there. You can ignore the old "No Trespassing" sign from the days when Crofton pulled its water from Crofton Lake (which has not been the case for about 10 years), but please do not use motorized vehicles beyond the gate. The cache is a small lock-n-lock with a few small trade items. Also, there is a lottery ticket for the "first to find". The Maple Mountain block of the Municipal Forest Reserve is full of well kept hiking trails. Map .
