Geocache Description:

This is Taylor Mountain?

Except for the spectacular views there isn't much up here. The area has been clear cut and the sapplings that have been planted are still only about 3' tall. About 500' south is the Ceder River Watershed so there is still a forest there.

I've been wanting to get up here to look for the benchmark SX1839 Sherwood. I didn't find the benchmark, in fact once I got to the top I didn't even look for it, the 2' of snow on the ground had a lot to do with that.
This would make a good snow shoe cache if you do it at the right time of year, like when I placed it in late March without showshoes.
A little later in the year this would make a good workout for your bicycling muscles.

My track is all on roads even though there are places on the map that don't show as road.
Road 35920, since renamed the "road that isn't really a road", will save you about 300' of elevation gain in each direction, but apparently is not for the faint of heart and in all likelyhood will not be a time saver, so if you tire of logging roads and want more adventure give it a try.

The FTF hounds might want to pack a pair of snowshoes up the hill with them, you can curse me if you haul them all the way up and don't use them but if the snow is anything like it was when I placed the cache you'll be glad you have them, but the choice is yours. Once I hit the snow, that was up to 2' deep, it took me almost 2 hours to hike the final 1-1/4 miles.
