Geocache Description:

Located in yet another Las Vegas flood control channel / park. As of the hide date, this park project isn't finished, but the basics are there. After reading some of the early cachers' experiences, I suggest parking at the park (makes sense) at Oquendo and S. Grand Canyon. It's a great place to leave the car to go after this and Summer Sit.

While out exploring the ever expanding suburbs of west Las Vegas (or, better said, the ever shrinking wild desert) I came across this as-yet unfinished flood control channel/park. While walking past the cache zone, the opening line of Jethro Tull's song "Aqualung" sprang into mind.

If you know the song, you'll get it. If not, well, then the container looks kind of like an aqualung for you kids who are too young to have listened to Jethro Tull. And ... if this flood control channel ever fills up in a flash flood, you'll want an aqualung! Coordinates set with a Garmin GPS 60CSx using an GA25-MCX auxiliary antenna; nominal position error 8' today. Log only; bring you own writing tool.
