Loch Nest Monster II Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Flatouts: Well, Nessy has apparently moved on to better grounds... So it's time to put this one to rest and make room for new upcoming geocachers to get creative and place new caches for all to find.

We can only hope that we have inspired cachers to think outside of the box and to resist placing lame film can or magnetic key holders or any other lame leaky uninspired type cache.

Cache on....

In memory of the Loch Nest Monster caches...

Geocache Description:

We walked this park for hours and just had to bring you guys to see it. A lot of us probably know it's there and drive by it all the time. Now we've provided a reason to stop and take it all in. You'll be looking for art in all forms, natural and man made.

Orlando Loch Haven Park covers 45 acres and serves as the region’s premier cultural park. Nestled between three lakes, Lake Estelle on the north, Lake Rowena on the east, and Lake Formosa on the south, the park is located on North Mills Avenue and Princeton Street. The park was renovated in February 2001. With the many museums or theatre groups located in the park, there is always something new to see or do. The lawn areas in the center portion of the park are wonderful places to sit and enjoy the lake views shaded by majestic oak trees. One of Central Florida’s oldest and largest oak trees, "The Mayor", grows in the park near Orlando’s Mennello Museum of American Folk Art.  It's an awesome walking park and dog friendly too. Good family fun with lots to see and do.

However this hide is actually in the section called Lake Rewena Park - the parking is the same for both there is passage to this hide from Loch Haven park by going under the Mills St bridge - thus the terrain - you'll see it will add just a little adventure and excitement to top off an awesome park.

There was an art to this hide, be appreciative. No need to climb, bush whack or disturb foliage what so ever! Use your Geoscenses, Love for nature and art for the approach don't just expect to fly into this one like a crow.  Readings due majestic cover may mess with you so think ahead of your GPSr. Once you discover it please sign the log and return it exactly like you found it and leave no trace you were there. As with any art forum please use care it and it's contents and surroundings are fragile The log vessel is actually a micro vial / cryo tube with threaded cap.

We hope you enjoy the park and the hides...
