Geocache Description:

The last trafic bearing truss bridge over fall creek.

There are about 11 Truss bridges over fall creek as it winds and loops it's way through Tompkins county in NY This one is the last truss bridge over fall creek before it enters the lake.
This a warren pony truss bridge built in 1934. It follows a standard plan and is similar to the route 366 bridge over fall creek. see (visit link) for more details on the Cayuga Street Bridge.

There are 7 caches on truss bridges over fall creek.
Groton City Road Pratts pony I (GC19H7E)
Cemetery Lane Warrens pony II (GC19H72)
Malloryville bridge. Good Roads Duck Crossing (GC18Q0A)
Red mills bridge Bridge Closed (GC17F4C)
Mill street bridge. Vertical pony (GC197M8)
NY-366 Bridge Another Bridge (366) (GC197AE)
Cayuga Street Bridge The last truss

There 4 additional truss bridges on the Cornell University campus and Ithaca presently without caches. Only a few on these are on my list for caches due to the high volume of traffic on a narrow bridge without sidewalks.

There is parking near the north end of the bridge.
