Located in the Burrowa - Pine Mountain National Park, The Pine Mountain walking trail is Strenuous, with a number of climbs & descents allow 7 hours return, 12km journey from the carpark.
The walk to Pine Mountain summit traverses large granite outcrops fringed with Black Cypress Pine. Rare and interesting flora may be found along the way.
This gigantic rock monolith is reputedly one and a half times as big as Uluru.
The summit offers panoramic views of the surrounding Murray River valley and Snowy Mountains.
The trail can be hard to find in places, there are reflective markers on trees and small rock piles which mark the trail on the granite outcrops. It would be a good idea to have the GPS on, to mark your trail if you need to back track at any stage.
Its a great adventure in a small area.
The cache is a Black container made out of PVC pipe fittings
