Geocache Description:

Placed in honor of RheS' 2001st find, this cache also honors the recent passing of Arthur C. Clarke, a Grand Master of Science Fiction and Fact. Clarke wrote the orignal story (and novel) that "2001: A Space Odyssey" was based on.

This cache is placed in honor of RheS' 2001st find, continuing SpecialEd and Fallen Faery's tradition of placing caches honoring milestones passed by local cachers.
RheS has been a part of the local geocaching community for over five years and has cached all over the country. Lately he's on a streak of finding at least one cache per day--he should have 365 days in a row soon!
Also named for Arthur C. Clarke, prolific and creative author and inventor. ( (visit link)

Edit--8/18/13 Sadly the gold ammo can has disappeared, the container is now a lock'n'lock.

Edit--5/9/16 My apologies to the last few folks who hunted this one, the lock'n'lock went missing and the cache is now a pre-form above head-high.
