Geocache Description:

Part of the Six Flags Loop and Bonus cache series.

Texas was a part of Mexico from 1821 - 1836,
after it declared itself independent from Spain.
Hispanics from Mexico moved into the area, and Anglos living in the area became Mexican citizens.
There was conflict between the two cultures and politics.
When Santa Anna declared himself dictator, Texas began the fight for independence.
Independence was won on April 21, 1836.

If you want a certificate of completion for the series, just take the letter or letters on each log, arrange them to spell a Texas related term, and e-mail the owner for the certificate.

I parked a Bay Area Park and walked.
All caches are bike-friendly.

The entire six cache loop took me about an hour to walk, and was about 1.6 miles total.
