Geocache Description:

An easy park 'n grab.

PenEx West first started geocaching while living in the Santa Ynez Valley, and there we had the opportunity to benefit from several of macgyverandflo's mad cache-pooping extravaganzas. On any given weekend, five to fifteen new painted and magnetized altoid or "love" containers might magically appear. This easy park 'n grab is in honor of them. As an added bonus, this cache takes you to a very unusual location we recently discovered while out walking around SLO.

The cache is located near the Dallidet Adobe, a beautiful historical house built in the mid-19th century. The San Luis Obispo County Historical Society acquired the property in 1953, and currently both the house and grounds are open to the public on a limited basis. In addition, the creek travels by the house and the neighborhood (especially Buchon Street) is lined with beautiful turn-of-the-century homes, so the whole area is worth a walk around.

The cache is a small container camouflaged to fit into its surroundings. There is no need to enter the property to find the cache. The cache is not near any plants or foliage, so please keep off the landscaping. Bring your own pen.
