En la Bahía de Txingudi, entre Irún y Hondarribia, se halla la marisma de Plaiaundi: Restaurada recientemente, es un lugar de referencia para ornitólogos y amantes de la naturaleza.
In Txingudi Bay, located between Irún and Hondarribia, is the marsh of Plaiaundi. Recently restored, the place is a reference for ornithologists and nature lovers.
Desde el centro de interpretación Txingudi Ekoetxea, a lo largo de una ruta peatonal de 2 Km., se recorren todos los hábitats de Plaiaundi: Charcas de agua dulce, praderas, zonas boscosas, lagunas de agua salada, y playas intermareales, cada una de ellas con su ecosistema y habitantes diferentes.
Estos ecosistemas son extremadamente ricos en alimentos para la gran variedad de aves que los habitan, o que los usan como paradas en sus rutas migratorias. Por su localización estratégica entre el mar y los Pirineos, es un lugar de vital importancia para las aves que provienen de Europa.
La ruta peatonal está equipada de casetas para la observación de las lagunas, y de paneles informativos acerca de las especies que pueblan cada una.
Se trata de un lugar muy agradable para pasear, disfrutar de las vistas y de la observación de las aves.
El caché es un contenedor, con plastilina, dos rotuladores, una lupa, un muñeco payaso, un juego de dados y mini-naipes.
From the visitor center Txingudi Ekoetxea, there is a 2 Km. pedestrian route that will bring you to all the habitats of Plaiaundi: Clear water ponds, fields, woods, salt water lagoons and beaches, each of them with its own ecosystem and inhabitants.
These ecosystems are extremely rich in food for the wide variety of birds that inhabit, or migration stops. For its strategic location between the sea and the Pyrenees, this is an important place for the birds that come from Europe.
The pedestrian path is equipped with huts for observing the birds, and information panels about the species that inhabit each place.
It is a beautiful place for excursions, enjoying of the views, and the birds.
