Geocache Description:

A micro cache placed high on the Cotswold escarpment with super panoramic views.

The rolling dip slope of the Cotswolds, was in the sixth century the territory of the Saxon chief Cud or Cod.The Saxon word for this type of gently sloping high pasture was wold and hence this area became known as Cods wold.
Eventually the name became associated with the whole of the limestone ridge from Bath to Chipping Campden
