This is a demanding series (five over five star for the final
multi-cache #11) of caches that span most of the Baden Powell Trail
starting at Deep Cove and running westward to the end of the BP
Trail where the new highway is being built.
There is a website that is dedicated to the caches and includes
hints, photos, spoilers and links to the other caches in the
series.
Speedhikers.com
There is also a nice twist to this series because some of the
caches hold hints to a BP Challenge multi cache (GC1BQ6A).
This is a large cache made from a discarded Olive container that
I spotted when I was passing a greek restaurant unloading there old
containers. It is green and red-brown so blends well with moss and
rotten wood.
I recommend parking at Cleveland Dam parking lot and hiking up
about 15 minutes to this cache. It's a wonderful spot and can be
enjoyed all year round. After crossing the dam keep going uphill
following the path on your right and continue up this wide access
road till you see the baden Powell trailhead maker about 2 hundred
meters up and around a bend on your left. A quick hike and
hopefully a nice resting spot after you grab the cache. The GPS is
a bit spotty up there so expect about a 10 meter area to
search.
