THE SNOW HAS FINALLY GONE!
On June 15th, 2008 the cache was checked, tweaked and
camouflaged for the Spring and Summer months. Happy Hiking
This is a demanding series (five over five star for the final
multi-cache #11) of caches that span most of the Baden Powell Trail
starting at Deep Cove and running westward to the end of the BP
Trail where the new highway is being built.
There is a website that is dedicated to the caches and includes
hints, photos, spoilers and links to the other caches in the
series.
Speedhikers.com
There is also a nice twist to this series because some of the
caches hold hints to a BP Challenge multi cache (GC1BQ6A).
This cache is way up there. It's a 11 liter Tupperware container
with some nice goodies just waiting for an intrepid geocacher to
find it. However, it's so far up the mountain that it will be hard
to find after it snows. That snow will clear around mid April or
May so get to this one in the late spring or summer months or you
will have to wait all winter for your next chance. As with all
hikes of this nature, proper hiking equipment and survival supplies
are a must.
This hike can take as long as 2.5 hours to get to the stash
location, so bring a lunch and some beverages to make for a nice
break when you finally find the cache. This cache is also heavily
camouflaged so you will have to have rock solid coordinates to find
it.
