Preserve and Persevere Traditional Cache

Krypton: As there's been no response to my previous note, I assume that the cache is not going to be repaired or replaced, so I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it

Geocache Description:

A family-friendly place with drinking fountains.

Plenty of parking to start off your adventure. If you aren't from this area, know that our summers are hot and wearing a hat and sunscreen is a good idea as well as a water bottle or container to fill up at one of the drinking fountains you will find here. Enjoy nature, friendly people and a great place to go for a walk. Muggles about so some quick thinking on your part!

There is a treasure map also located inside this cache if you want to persevere and collect information from all the waypoints listed on the treasure map. The cache that Preserve has will start out with "No more on 44" deck of cards relating to our local highway 44 which starts in Redding and goes eastward up to Mt. Lassen, one of our volcanoes (Mt. Shasta is to our north). Also in the cache is the "crazy 8-ball" travel bug, log book and pencil. I printed out and lamenated a picture of the area for a momento for visitors and hope to keep enough in there for future visitors as I maintain the site.

For those who want to Persevere on a treasure hunt from the first site, there is a treasure map, magnifying glass and an extra book to use to write your clues on. The finder will get a $15.00 certificate to enable you to get a bite to eat; also included is another momento lamenated card. It would be nice if you could replace the map and magnifier and let me know you've found it so I can put new treasure out there for some other treasure-seeker to find.
