The Thames Moorings series are a variation on the Thames Path
series. Most of the caches will be close to the Thames Path and
most likely all of them will be accessible to pedestrians. What
differentiates them from others in the Thames Path series is that
they are placed near public moorings for the floating equivalent of
a "cache and dash", a sort of boating Motorway Mayhem.
No more Mr. Nice Guy. You may think I'm a soft touch because
most of my caches in this series have been very easy to find, but
this one's a much tougher nut to crack. And no hints, you've really
got to earn this one.
You will need to bring your own pencil, the cache is too small
to hold one. And you may also wish to bring a pointy winkling iron;
like many micros, the log is a snug fit.
This cache is very close to the river. Please take special care
to supervise children.
You can park just a few feet from the cache, but it's "pay and
display". If you go straight to the cache you can sign the log and
be back to your car in 30 seconds. But to do that you need either
to be very good or very lucky
.
If you want to park somewhere without paying and where you can
take your time, see the parking arrangements for the nearby Staines
Bridge or Church Island caches.
Handicache rating H11133. The cache is very close to the
river.
