Geocache Description:

Once upon a time, this spot lay in the Town of Yaupon Beach. Yaupon Beach was governed by a board of commissioners, after whom this "observatory" was named. In 1999, Yaupon Beach merged with Long Beach to become the Town of Oak Island. Today, you can play commissioner and sit upon the swing observing the world go by. Life at the beach sure is grand. Enjoy.

Cache is a medium size lock-n-lock with room for smallish trades and travel bugs.

If you plan to do more than just observe, there is a shower nearby, and plenty of parking. Watch out, you may be observed yourself. Stealth will be required.
