Geocache Description:

This medium size lock-n-lock is in the seldom used but extremely beautiful Lewis G. Larus Park.

This park may be the best kept secret in Richmond. It's still in an unadulterated state and gets little use because most people don't realize it exists. It is ideal for those of us who cherish a bit of quiet time and reflection.

The park, however, is no secret at all to local geocachers. At any given time six to eight caches of various difficulties and terrains can be found around the park.

Larus Park was named for Lewis G. Larus. In 1915, he bought the plot of land that now includes Sabot at Stony Point School and the park. The school sits in the northwest corner of the park, above the Stony Point Fashion Park. Chippenham Parkway forms much of the park's eastern border. On the southeast and southwest are office parks and neighborhoods.
