Overgrown And Forgotten Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is located on the former railbed of the Niagara, St Catharines and Toronto Railway and has not been in use since 1959 when service was terminated.
I can't count the times that I have driven by here and never noticed this, but now that I have been on a railway kick as of late, I am seeing this region in a whole new light.
My parent's used to live near here and that helped to shed some light on this portion of the NS&T.
The amount of overgrowth on this railbed is substantial, considering it has been growing unchecked for almost 50 years.
The cache has been placed midway between Beechwood Road and Garner Road so it will be a fun hike either way.
And please bring your own pen and please stay on the railbed, it is private property on either side.
