Come enjoy a short hike to the Lonely Grave to find this cache. At a leisurely pace with some exploration on the side, the entire adventure will take about 40-50 minutes.

Please park at the Parking Coordinates and hike the trail parallel to the highway on your way to the lonely graveyard (at the posted coordinates).
Along your hike, (before you get to the coordinates) you will find two posts near each other, one near the trail and one near the rail. Each post has the same two-digit number on it...those two digits are A and B.
Continue on your way to the posted coordinates. This graveyard used to display only one lonely black headstone - the resting place of our Dear Friend, Byron. Now, there is just a large sign. Find your way to the back side of this sign to gather the last of the information you will need.
Look at the South Pillar, made to look like stones. Count the number of FULL LAPS of siding that touch the stone. These two digits are C and D
Look at the center support wall. At the narrow back edge, there is a series of vertical slots. Count the number of visible slots over the height of the wall. Slot number one is at ground level. The number of slots is E
Stage two, the final stage is located at:
- N 44 Degrees, 1.(B)(A+D)(B-E) Minutes
- W 92 Degrees, 36.(B+C)(D+E)(A) Minutes
When we first saw this monument erected here, my wife and I couldn't help saying "here lies Byron" ...just a little funny looking. The area has some nice flora to offer: apples and other fruit trees, prarie grasses and some big pines.
