This Cache is located in Alafia River State Park off of the Old Agrico Hiking Trail.
For day use, the picnic area trail head is the best place to park. The hiking trail gets confusing at points so make sure to keep a lookout for those red blazes. Lots of elevation changes on this trail due to it being a former sight for phosphate mining. There is some steep, rooty parts so watch your step.
Old Agrico Hiking Trail was originally home to horses. It was dubbed a extreme off-road horse trail. Many years ago an unforeseen incident occurred resulting in a horse being physically trapped in a valley of mud (Its okay, the horse was freed after a day of hard work). Subsequently, the location is now considered to be mud horse valley. The trail was deemed to be a much better candidate for those onfoot and was reopened for hiking only. The geocache sits overlooking the very same valley where there can now be seen a bridge crossing the muddy terrain.
