Peace Chapel Traditional Cache
mandmmzz: We used to get emails when someone logged a find of one of our caches but somewhere along the way the emails stopped. Occasionally, we'd look at our owners list and the info there only told us the date it was last found and that's all. We didn't know this one had DNF's until a fellow cacher sent us a message about it. Sorry to all of you who have made the hike to find it, we looked for it today and the container is gone. Perhaps someone else might like to use this area to hide a cache since it is a worthwhile location.

Gravel road, grassy trail……ammo box east of 4-foot disk.
The Peace Chapel occupies 14 acres just east of the Juniata College campus and is part of the larger 170-acre Baker-Henry Nature Preserve. It was inspired by Elizabeth Evans Baker and designed by Maya Lin, who also designed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
There are two main sites, one large and one small, with a series of 24 granite steps leading up a slope to the larger of the sites. This larger site, consisting of a 40-foot circle composed of 53 rough-cut blocks of granite, was conceived to accommodate groups of people in a spectacular setting overlooking surrounding mountains and forests.
The second site, several hundred yards from the first, is located in a small grove of trees on a knoll slightly higher than the circle of stones. Here is a single smooth granite disc, four feet in diameter, situated for individual, private meditation.
Cache is an ammo can, now holding only friendly geocaching items. It is hidden off the trail near the 4-foot granite disc.
