Located in Bulldog Canyon OHV area.
You can hike or bike to the cache without a permit, but you can drive there by obtaining a permit at the Mesa Ranger Station, 5140 E. Ingram St. Mesa, AZ 85205. The phone# is 480-610-3300. It is free and takes only minutes to obtain. The road to the cache requires a high clearance, 4WD.
As always, please be aware of creepy crawlers in the desert!
We don't recommend this one for children. It is a short, but steep hike up around boulders. It's not really too difficult--probably looks worse than it is. The cache is well tucked into it's hiding spot.
Nice views from the cache.
UPDATE--4/4/08 When we placed the cache, we were up there for a long time and never saw or heard any bees. However, the last 2 cachers have encountered some, so PLEASE USE CAUTION and "bee" on the lookout!
