This is a "little" cache. It is located on a new DNR hunting trail that eventually connects with the trails around St. Mary's Lake. You can access it from the lake or one of two sign in gates off of Indian Bridge Road. (Do not access from the northern most trail as it accesses the adjacent private property and is posted as such). The terrain reflects dryer conditions.
The name of this cache is actually an alternate title. You will discover the actual name of the cache when you find it. The cache is hidden at a difficulty of 2.5. Please do not rehide it for muggles/hunters to spot out of the corner of their eye. And do not rehide it in what I would consider the obvious hiding spot. There is a story that goes along with this cache... you probably already know it....If I told you the story you might run away.
***Note:June 14, 2009- bumped the terrain up for the wet season. A section of the road has become part of the nearby swamp... It is possible however to circumnavigate the pond....
The cache is placed off of a hunting trail. Please respect the local hunters, especially during hunting season. I've spotted plenty of deer in the area as well as squirrels, turkeys, rabbits etc. When I hid the cache, I spotted several puddles with egg sacs. Not sure if they were frogs or toads. Also, the mosquito factor wasn't bad when the cache was placed but I did spot some abnormally large spiders not too far away.
When you are finished with signing the log. PLEASE rehide as well as or better than found.
There is a stash note and a pencil included. You may need to bring your own pen.
