Flatouts: Well it’s been one heck of a journey for this cool little cache. When it was first placed the water tower was painted like a giant Campbell’s soup can. It was so cool I couldn’t pass it up. I met with the property owner of the Bowling center. He was delighted with the idea. He also held annual event for Boy Scout on the property and this would be added fun for them.
All was great for years until, I got a report that the cache must be removed, shortly after it was repainted. I met with the owner again and found out the Son was assuming the management and well had a different option about stuff. Some discussion issues worked out and it was allowed to stay so long as it remains safe. First time they (he) sees someone doing something he feels is endangering its gone!
Well, it was years later on a couple occasions someone climbed up the ladder. This was unacceptable and one of the concerns, so rather then met again the ladder containing the cache was cut off. Solution to protect property and keep it safe as well as keeping them from being sued.
It is permanently gone and I highly doubt the current management will allow anyone to place a cache on the premises.
