This cache can
be found in a small urban park dedicated to a woman who was known
as the “Angel
of the Delta”. She dedicated her life to helping
the poor, especially children, and was mourned by the entire city
of New Orleans when she died. The statue created in her honor
was one of the first statues of a woman erected in the United
States.
Cache
container does not need to be removed to sign the log. Bring your own pencil.
Although the
park is usually deserted, there are plenty of watchful muggles
nearby. Please be
discrete and deceptive!
This could be
a park ‘n grab if you visit during non-working
hours. During the
workday you will probably have to park several blocks
away. It is an
interesting neighborhood however, and when the roses in the park
are in bloom, it’s nice to linger for a few minutes and honor
Margaret.
