Geocache Description:

A multi stage bushwack with two twists at the final. Your search begins at Mt. Tom State Park. Park in the main parking area and start down the dirt road near the front booth at N41 41.766, W 073 16. 969. This is not a road for cars or trucks, don't try it! Mt. Tom property is on your left, private lands are on your right. Stay away from the private side. As you walk down the path you will notice the land change from flat woodland to jaged rocky hills. When your gps'r tells you to take a 9 o'clock turn into the woods, do it. This is where your fun begins.
These are all short bushwacks from stage to stage. Stage 1 is a micro, stage 2 is a small container. Anything more than a couple of inches of snow will be a problem. Your final is an ammo can. When you get to the final a word of caution. The difficulty rating on this one is for the bushwacking and the 2 twist's at the final. I dont like heights and did not climb the rock walls of the canyon here. Do not think you have to risk your life cliff climbing and dont try it. Not only is the can not out "there", but a lot of the rock here seems more unstable than most of Western Litchfield county. Stay safe, its a normal ammo can hide in the usual way....or is it?
When you are done you can visit the other 2 caches in the park. Hootie and The Go Fish is down the dirt road you began on. Also, the Mt. Tom cache can be reached by aiming for its waypoints with your gps'r, you will bushwack ahead till you cross the trail that takes you to the top or back to your car.
Please dont give anything away in your logs. Play this one safe and remember you were warned. This one is a real pain in the cache!
