The cache is NOT located at the listed coordinates; here you will
find an information kiosk with information necessary to find the
coordinates of the physical cache. Most cachers should be able to
find the information (and then the cache) in less than two minutes!
The actual coordinates of the cache are:
N 35° 47. AB 3
W 82° 57. CD 9
A = the sum of the middle two digits of the elevation of
Max Patch shown on the map
B = the last digit of the year associated with a landing
strip
C = the difference between the two non-zero digits of the
year associated with cattle and sheep
D = the difference between the first and last digits of the
Max Patch elevation shown on the map
CHECKSUM: A + B + C + D = 20
I highly recommend that you continue up to find the
nearby cache and then on to the summit of Max Patch! Great
views can usually be found up there!! [Just in case it isn't
