Registration will start at 8:00 am on June 8th 2008. Come in to the Garden Room at the Pantry Restaurant in Chilliwack for breakfast (please pay your own bill) and get your package with your list of cache coordinates. We will start to send cachers out around 9:30.

After the run there will be a BBQ dinner (burger or hot dog, pop, chips) for $5.00 and the prizes will be awarded.  (Please let us know if you will be eating when you pick up your package in the morning so we will have enough food.)

Poker Run Rules

All players must pre register by posting a “will attend note” on the cache event page before the event day.

There will be a limit of 20 team or individual entrees.

Teams will be limited to 2 cachers. And will share 1 poker hand. Teams must travel and find the caches together.

One un-activated geocoin will be the entry fee per team or individual. This must be received on the event day to get your list of cache coordinates.

There will be 5 caches with envelopes marked “P” with one card in each, and bonus caches with envelopes marked “B” in them. You will not have to find all of the bonus caches, but the more bonus caches you find the better your chances of winning a prize.

You must find the caches on your list in order. We will send out 2 cachers or teams at a time at 5 minute intervals. This is to prevent everyone arriving at the same cache at the same time.

After taking your envelope and signing the log book replace the cache the same as you found it.

All participants must arrive at the finish by 4:00 pm with there 5 cards. (The caches with the cards will be closer to the start than the bonus caches)

The winning team / individual will receive 40% of the entry fees. The rest will be used for bonus prizes.

We will use 3 decks of cards randomly shuffled and placed in envelopes.

High hands will be ranked in the following order:

Royal Flush: A Straight Flush that consists of the five highest value cards, 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace.

Straight Flush: Five sequential cards of the same suit

Four of a Kind: Four cards of the same value with one extra card present.

Full House: Three cards of one value, and two cards of another value,

Flush: Five cards of the same suit that are not all sequential.

Straight: Five cards of sequential value and differing "suits" (spades, clubs, hearts or diamonds).

Three of a Kind: Three cards of the same value with the remaining two cards not combining in any desirable way.

Two Pair: Two pairs of cards with the same value each pair having a different value. One extra card is present.

One Pair:Two cards of the same value with three extra cards that do not combine in any desirable way.

Please Note:

Because we have multiple decks of cards duplicate cards of the same suit I.E two 10 of hearts in one hand will be consider the same as two of different suits.
