A snack container placed within sight of Hwy 12. Plenty of roadside parking close by. For vehicles with trailers or tow vehicles, you can park just west of the cache alongside the Illahee Garden Club garden area about 200 yards away. 06/16/08 update: The ammo can was muggled and is missing so for now it has been replaced with a snack container. Please rehide carefully.
This part of the Cowlitz River valley has long been referred to as The Big Bottom Country. We have thought for a long time that this area of Hwy 12 needed a travel bug rest stop. With Randle being the gateway to the northside of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest and the eastside of Mt. St. Helens, a lot of tourist traffic goes through here in a year's time. Whether you are going to or from the National Forest or traveling Hwy 12 from the I-5 corridor to Yakima or vice versa, now you have a place to exchange those travel bugs or coins you might have for some new ones. If you don't have a travel bug, there are trade items in the cache. If you take a travel item, PLEASE leave another travel item in it's place.
