This is a mini series of three caches set around Baldwin’s Wood.
The others are
Ménage à un and
Ménage à deux, although of course they can be tackled
individually.
This is a beautiful area and there are many natural woodland
plants to be seen. However the area is best known locally, for its
stunning carpet of daffodils in the spring. The area is also a
haven for birds. If you are lucky you may even catch sight of some
deer too.
The walk is approximately 2¼ miles depending on where you park, so
you should allow about 1½ hours.
The cache container is a small lunchbox suitable for small
swapsies and travel bugs only.
In the winter some of these paths are wet and muddy. Do not even
think about attempting this without a decent pair of wellies or
some sturdy walking boots.
Please be good geocachers and keep to the footpaths. I would
advise you take OS map 121 if you don’t know the area.
The series is so called because on the walk you pass three
equestrian sand schools or as they are otherwise known in certain
circles, menages. A very well done to
peeesveejay who was the first to work it out..
