Geocache Description:

WWFM III - World Wide Flash Mob
Hats Off! Delaware Style
Be a part of geocaching history!

This is a Flash Mob Gathering of Geocachers
Only 15 minutes long! You MUST be present and sign a log sheet DURING this time to claim the event. Please BYOP! (Bring your own pen)

Summary: The basic idea

This event is part of the WWFM III - World Wide Flash Mob coordinated events (See growing bookmark list). Thousands of geocachers at dozens of events all around the globe, gathering at the same time.
The WWFMs are coordinated geocaching events originally started by Sonny & Sandy of podcacher fame. The event will last exactly 15 minutes, not one second longer.

The Plan:

The event will BEGIN EXACTLY at: 1:00 PM EST on Saturday, May 10, 2008 and Will END EXACTLY 1:15 PM EST.

Prizes for Best Hat!

Prior to the event:
Drive to the coordinates and park nearby. Either stay in your car or get out of your car and pretend you are a muggle. Act like you don't know anyone else. At exactly 1:00 PM as determined by the GPS clock, Runfrog will place a bucket on the ground at the designated coordinates to signify the start of the event.

At 1:00 Log sheets will be handed out. BYOP.
Participants: fill out log sheets and drop them in the collection box. Then mingle and chat with your fellow cachers. Exchanging of trackables, swag, teaming up for additional caches, and other geocache-related activities are of course allowed & expected.

At 1:06 Participants: Follow RunFrog to the feeding area for the official "meal" of Hershey's Kisses. Make sure to CITO your foil wrappers.

At 1:08 Participants: Follow RunFrog to the photo area and assemble FAST. Listen to the photographer for directions.

At 1:12 Participants: Go back to the starting point for the Prize Raffle Drawing - including a raffle for FTF honors and most original hat.

At 1:14 Runfrog will blow a whistle (if he remembers to bring it) to indicate a one minute warning. Log slips will be pulled for the door prizes. Clean up and prepare to leave. Participants: Prep to leave, but don't "look" like you are prepping. (You might want to "secretly" organize where you will re-form after dispersal.)

At 1:15 EXACTLY Participants: Wait for it ... then LEAVE the area (right at 1:15 in a disorderly manner / different directions) and meet elsewhere if desired. We want to clear the video taping area (we will continue to tape for a minute or so) to show us "vacate". The bucket of swag will be packed up The table and signage will be packed up The log sheet collection box will be packed up and sealed We will leave the area to go ... elsewhere.

At 1:17 Videographers will end the taping Difficulty rating of 2 reflects the 15 minute allotted time period in which to claim the cache. If you aren't prompt you could miss it. If your name is not on a log sheet you will not be able to log the event. If everything goes right we will have several people converging on one spot for a 15 minute geocaching event and then disappearing. This could be lots of fun and maybe even raise a few muggle eyebrows. We'll have info available for any muggle that happens upon the event.
Note: Although participants are welcome to get together after the event, the event will officially be over at 1:15. Afterwards, participants may chat, meet, eat and plan for a day of caching. We recommend meeting at GC14RF7 'Every Cache Needs a Cow' for some ice cream after the event.
