Geocache Description:

The Hyper visible rubbermaid commercial kitchen container (clear with a yellow lid) New and never containing foodstuffs has been replaced 7/11/2015 with the long lasting geocaching standard .50 caliber green ammunition can. The rubbermaid container lasted for 7 years but the lid failed. This cache is under a holly bush that will give some camouflage.

There is a $2 per person park fee. We just purchased a SC parks park pass for $50<-Well worth it.

Park at the parking lot near the lake and begin your trek to the picnic shelters, numbers 3 and 4, eventually you will cross the trail(road). Closer to the cache you will notice a change in vegetation as you have the change in altitude.

The cache was in a Rubbermaid commercial kitchen container. This is yet another experiment for me in different containers...the silvered paint cans really were a disaster. I wholly expect that these containers to be much better. It is extremely hard to beat the 50 caliber ammo can but my supply is low and the rubbermaid price and availability were spot on. My next planned container is the Plano plastic .30 style ammunition container.

In the cache you will find a number of trinkets, a log book, and some plastic bags. Please do sign the log book and update your find here at geocaching.com

I placed the cache at @8:05pm 04/04/2008 as the roaring of the cars on I-20 and with the scare of the tornados. It was too dark for me to take any pictures but I hope to upload a picture of the cache container in the next few days.

Enjoy.
