Beach Strongpoint at Lee Point.
A good stroll from the carpark at Lee Point, this cache will lead you to one of the best preserved WWII strongpoint bunkers in Darwin (see the photos). With the unfortunate demise of Casuarina Pine I took the opportunity to place another cache in this area with a bit of historical significance.
The stroll to the bunker is rather easy going, however the cache itself is located in the bushland behind the bunker and I would suggest long pants and long sleeves as there is a lot of 'wait a while' thorn bushes nearby. GPS signal may not work to well in this area but shouldnt be too hard to find. If you experience difficulties use the hint!
The cache container is a .30 cal ammo tin. It contains some goodies and there is plenty of room for swaps.
