I placed this cache today to commemorate working with the
students of Boulder Elementary today teaching them about how the
GPS system works, how to use a GPSr, and how to geocache. I have
driven down the Burr Trail many many times, and I have to say that
this stretch of road is perhaps the most spectacular drive in
America. In another life I taught science at Escalante HS (the next
town west) and we used to drive the 25 miles to Boulder and then
the 70 miles down the Burr Trail to go to the marina. We would eat
lunch at the restaurant, enjoy the view of the lake, and then head
back to Escalante. Needless to say I needed a hobby like geocaching
back then!
Cache is a log only centrifuge tube micro. Should be pretty easy
to find, but I will give you a hint if you need it. You can drive
to within 4 feet of the cache, but I only give a terrain 1 rating
to parking lot LPC's. Please let me know when the log is getting
full so that I have an excuse to come back to this beautiful
area.
By the way... The photo below has more to do with the cache name
than the hiding place...
