Geocache Description:

Hindes Street Timber Bridge was the last timber railway bridge in the QR metro network, until it was demolished. Up until it was demolished the road underneath was only one lane.

It’s funny how the littlest things bring back lots of different memories. And for me this bridge is one of those things. It was a sad day for me when this bridge went as it jogs lots of pleasant memories of events and of people. For example whilst it wasn’t this railway bridge but another one in the area, I always remember a day trip on a school holiday day camp to the Wynnum wading pools where the bus got stuck under a low bridge. I could bore you with lots of other memories that I am reminded of when I come past here but I will refrain. However if you have a memory of this bridge or any other please feel free to share in your online log.

Park at the given co-ordinates and proceed to the obvious location, (around 5 metres), where you will find two signs with the information needed to complete this cache.
