in our disclaimer.
This park is part of the Turtle Creek Floodplain recreation area.
It is also a great place for bird watching as it has both woodlands
and open prairie areas. This section has a 2.5 mile hiking /
cross-country ski trail.
This could have been another Park-N-Grab. However, the undergrowth
and overgrowth may cause two problems...
1. Depending on season, considerable bushwhacking may be
required.
2. Due to tree cover, you may not be able to get good a good GPS
signal resulting in an inaccurate location. When placing this
cache, the best I could do was 28 feet indicated accuracy of the
GPSr readings. Published coordinates are the average of two
readings on each of three separate days.
Please exercise caution (and use a good light source) if attempting
to find this cache after dark as there are a number of significant
sized holes, apparently dug by animals, in the vicinity of the most
direct approach to the cache.
The container is a camouflaged pill bottle with room for only the
log sheet and a pencil.
The sidewalk between the park and the road is very popular with
recreational walkers and joggers so be on the lookout for
muggles.
