Geocache Description:

Around Cabbage Hill: Avery Lane

A straightforward cache on the "Around Cabbage Hill" ring. Avery Lane is an ancient byway. It is threatened with being converted into a spur off the North Bracknell Distributor Road (Harvest Ride) to provide a bypass route to Maidenhead (A3095), taking traffic off Warfield Street. As you walk south down Avery Lane you will see a copse on top of the hill to your right. This is actually "Cabbage Hill" - the highest point in Warfield. The area on both sides of the byway are currently threatened with development of thousands of new homes in a further northward expansion of Bracknell.
