For those who did not find it, it was within 1 metre of a lamp post and you didn't have to leave the pavement to reach it. So those who went into the ditch to look for it either like it in ditches [:o)] or refused to believe our listing that it really was terrain 1 [:O]! The clue implies that you should not have banged your head on the lamp post [xx(], because there is nothing else that you could have banged your head on here, except the ground!
As for the hiding place itself, the ditch has been invaded by ornamental grasses that have almost certainly escaped from the Wyevale garden centre [V] and the cache was simply slotted into the fissure between two clumps of these weeds. As the grasses are essentially pests, potentially even threatening to spread into the river, I thought it perfectly acceptable to place the cache there. [^]
As for being caught in the act by the passing public....well, if caches don't place you outside your comfort zone from time to time, then you're missing out on some of the experience! [:D][:D][:D] Similarly, the thicket cache is mostly about planning your approach to GZ to avoid discomfort [}:)] Don't complain... we have to maintain it! [:P]
