Mohawk Park has a curfew from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Pets, horses,
bicycles,and motorized vehicles are not permitted on Oxley Nature
Center's trails.
A drybox holds many items donated by the hard-working crew that
dragged limbs,branches, and entire tree trunks off hiking trails.
With the help of chainsaws, limb-loppers, and some fierce axe and
machete work (don't ever make Jeff or Robert mad), the Cache In
Trail Out team re-opened a mile of trails! There were some
near misses, but no fingers were lost and no toes were crushed. The
habits are set: we also picked up trash and brought it out with us.
And once again we proved that hard physical dirty work can be a lot
of fun with good friends to help!
We were happy to find "Big Mama" oak still standing, so we
placed the cache where she could stand guard in the vicinity.
Muggle fishermen would no doubt love to have a drybox, so please
try not to establish a trail to the cache site.
