Geocache Description:

The cache is located northwest of suburban Brisbane, about 9km south of Dayboro.

There's a small carpark just off Mount Samson Road for the vehicle, with info. signs, a grassed picnic area, covered table and chairs, and rudimentary cooking facilities for humans. The original cache may or may not still exist (see logs for May/June, 2009) somewhere, but a new box is now in a new spot that's further from the water. Where possible please try to step over the green bits near GZ. Thanks.

(The quiet spot seemed more inviting when there was water in Lake Samsonvale, and quite popular too at times with the fishermen/women. Please watch your step when approaching the search zone; over the front bank there used to be deep but now it's just high!) No climbing or digging at all is required at GZ.

Attached please find a photo of Lake Samsonvale originally taken in September 2000, and transfered to digital from 35mm film. The small tree in the foreground should still be there, about 30 metres south of the original GZ.
