Geocache Description:

MBFC # 4 - Motor Bike Friendly Cache #4 - Cockatoo.

The cache is 2 Litre Sistema clip top container.

Cache is located at the disused Cockatoo Railway Station.
A traditional hide, just be wary of cyclists and walkers along the track beside the rail line.

This location is almost as good as it gets, take any road from here and you will treated to some of the most scenic rides in the Dandenong ranges.
A nice loop is south, towards Pakenham to the roundabout, turn left to Gembrook, follow the winding road to the T intersection, turn left into Gembrook and cruise through the township and then back to Cockatoo.
If other riders are about talk to them or just tag along for the ride.
Weekends will see alot of tourist traffic on the roads, if possible plan your ride midweek, a lot less traffic.

There is parking at the rail siding, take a quick left turn after you cross the rail line coming up the hill, or park at the shops on the right hand side, and walk back down to the cache.
The bakery in the small shopping center is a popular meeting spot for riders before and after a ride, and only a short walk to GZ.

The road to Worri Yallock kept my love of motor bike riding alive for several years whilst I didn't have a bike to ride. I often drove along the road just waiting for the day I could ride a motor bike along a 22 klm stretch of road with long straight sections and sweeping corners easily taken at the legal speed limit.
Just be on the lookout for local fauna around dawn and dusk
