Geocache Description:

A short walk along level hard-surfaced paths. Wheelchair friendly.

It seemed about time that I followed the trend and put out one of these side-tracked 'jobbies'! Bitton is the site of the Avon Valley Railway station. This restored rail link provides a six mile return train ride along the former Mangotsfield to Bath Green Park branch of the old Midland Railway, and the chance to see the River Avon valley from an aspect that cars cannot reach.Parking is available close to the cache at N51 25.829 W002 28.558.The cache is only a short walk from here. This one is probably a good candidate for the old shoelace tying exercise!
