This multicache was designed to give you a gentle walk near the Para Wirra lake and then a special reward (this final cache) at the end. Para Wirra park is one of the wonders of Adelaide and little known.
Find Para Wirra Plant, Pebbles, Pass-Over and Ponder (all stages of the multi) and collect the clues attached to the lids of the caches and you will then be able to visit Para Wirra Possum.
We have avoided the steeper and thicker areas of the park. You should be able to stick mostly to tracks, and
where needed to follow the GPS arrow without too much difficulty between caches (unless you try to walk across the lake).
All of the caches are on or close to tracks and roads, but please remember to waypoint your car before you are out of sight (just in case). The park can be confusing as the tracks and roads do not follow straight lines.
The difficulty and terrain has been elevated due to the fact that it is a multi with some walking involved where there are no paths.
There is an entrance fee for the park (unless you have a SA parks pass) of $10 per car. Self register using the honesty system at the gate.
Follow the main road through the park until you reach the Lake Car park (with toilets and Barbeque) signposted from the main entrance road on the left or proceed on the same road until you reach the alternate parking spot (with picnic tables) a further 1km or so along the road on the left. This cache is much closer to the second of these parks.Stop and enjoy something at the picnic tables once you have found this final one. Very friendly Emus abounded in this area at the time of placing.
All but "ponder" are regular caches.
