This cache is really at its best in springtime when the daffy's are up. Quiet country road adjacent to the A92 with open views. Cache a few steps from a parked car. Small lock and lock, suitable only for small swaps, coins and TB's.
When at cache GZ, look over the gate southwestwards towards the low hills in the distance and you should see why the cache got this name. The local story goes that the farmer and family who own the land planted loads of daffodil bulbs on the hillside in this particular outline after one of their young family passed away. Its understood that the youngster brought so much sunshine into their lives that 'smiler' was a suitable method of sharing that sunshine and smile with anyone who cared to look for it. Pop along in springtime and get your share of that smile.......
