Parking is handy. You are searching for a log-only cache in a key holder. Please bring your own writing instrument.
This cache is located in a FEE area. Day use requires payment of fees (using the park,geocaching, picknicking, hiking, etc.). Remember that Golden Age and Access Cards
pay half-price. Workers in the National Park are aware of caches within the park.
Be sure to allow time to take the wheelchair accessible walking trail through the lava beds. The trail is very well maintained and designed for easier walking or wheelchair use while taking you out into the lava beds for a close-up look.
The cache is in a convenient location chosen with wheelchair finders in mind. Stealth is required because muggles visit the same area. Be subtle in the removal and
replacement of the cache. It’s small, so there is only a log inside, no pen or pencil. The $2.00 is for the first wheelchair geocacher. Watch out for local desert critters.
