Located by the very old West Mills pioneer cemetery down a gravel road...well, it's gravel most of the way...sand the rest. !!!!!PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO GO AFTER THIS CACHE EITHER DURING RAIN OR AFTER IT HAS RAINED!!!!! The road can get very muddy and slick as it is in river bottom land and it is a minimum maintenance road after the first half mile or so. It is very sandy dirt and washes out easily. Also, this road is a DEAD END!!!! Be careful when turning around at the end.
Third in a series of caches in old cemeteries in Seward County.
You are looking for a hanging cylindrical container, about 2-3 inches in diameter. Container has been camoflaged. Contains only a log and the standard Geocache note, bring your own writing utensil. Container would be large enough for a geocoin, or a very small swag item, but this cache probably won't have heavy traffic so TB's/coins would maybe sit for a while if left there.
FTF gets a $1 bill...CONGRATS to Rotorootie (and Doogie Dog) for the FTF! Maybe you can get a couple of cups of fuel for your Harley! LOL
While here take a look at the occupants. Notice the stones are all very OLD. A lot of children died back in those days, one set of stones shows two siblings at ages 5 and 7 died the same day...in 1871.
I love these old cemeteries, they make me think about what life must have been like for them. I may not have personally known anyone here, or their families, but I hope that 100 plus years after I die that someone will clean up my grave.
Also, if you see any trash in the area, please C.I.T.O.
