Are you new to geocaching? Are you an
experienced veteran? Somewhere in between? We hope to see all
of you at Mill Hollow in Vermilion, Ohio for this
program!
There will be a small informal presentation, held in Pavillion #1
at 1:00. This will be an opportunity for new geocachers to learn
from experienced geocachers…
* What is geocaching?
* How did geocaching start?
* What makes a geocache?
* What is GPS and how do I use a handheld GPS unit?
* How do I find a geocache?
* How do I hide a geocache?
After the small presentation, we will break up into groups
combining cachers of varying experiences to find Permanent and
temporary geocaches hidden in Mill Hollow and Bacon
Woods.
We encourage experienced geocachers to come and help guide the
small group hunts, and show some support to Lorain County
MetroParks.
If you’ve been to an event cache before, you know
what fun it can be! You can also ask individuals questions
regarding paperless caching, including the use of GSAK and
Cachemate.
Bring your geogear if you have some, but if you’re new a GPS isn’t
required!
Mill Hollow is located on North Ridge Road in
Vermilion
Please RSVP your plans to attend the event by posting a "will
