You can stop at the bottom of the dirt road and walk up the hill, or drive up the gravel. The cache is hidden by rocks.
The cache is hidden by rocks 10-15 feet off a gravel road in a field adjacent to the water tower land. Access can be obtained by parking at the bottom of the dirt road on Lincoln Way and hiking up the dirt road or by driving up the dirt road.
We named our cache after Chief Qualchan of the Spokane/Palouse Indians and hope that the contents help to make amends to the spirit of the Chief. Qualchan, his braves and their horses were all executed by Colonel George Wright in 1858 in the valley directly below the cache.
